Our experienced child guidance therapists offer help and support for parents and
children where there are presenting issues. All concerns are handled with sensitivity
and understanding in a caring environment.
A three to four session detailed assessment will be
completed,
which may be useful in identifying and considering issues related to:
- family disruption due to reasons such as divorce, illness, trauma or the death of
a family member;
- parenting and parenting concerns;
- worries, fears and sadness in children or adolescents, possibly manifesting themselves
as eating or sleeping difficulties;
- peer relation problems;
- difficulties at school; and/or
- a child's preparedness and possible response to childcare, kindergarten, school,
foster placement or other changes.
Treatment Clinic
Following a detailed assessment, and if indicated, we provide psychotherapy operating
on the model of conjoint treatment for the child or adolescent and their parent
or caregiver(s).
